As part of its Intensive Courses on Demand (ICOD), the School introduced two online Audition Insight classes to support dancers preparing for auditions. Designed for students aged 11 and above, these sessions provide guidance on exercises commonly set in auditions and insight into what the School seeks in applicants. Recognizing that not all dancers can travel to London for in-person training, these online classes ensure that talent from across the world has access to expert instruction from the School’s Artistic staff.Explore the online courses.
The ICOD collection also welcomed new additions, including Ballet Essentials with Larissa Bamber and Ballet Class with Sarah Kundi. The former is tailored for students looking to reconnect with fundamental ballet principles after a period away from training, while the latter is a structured ballet class for dancers aged 16 and above, emphasizing musicality and confidence-building.Read about Larissa Bamber.
For those seeking in-person instruction, The Royal Ballet School is reviving its Winter Intensives across London, Manchester, and Edinburgh. These non-selective, one-day programmes are open to dancers aged 9-14 and focus on repertoire from Cinderella as well as technical aspects such as balance and pirouettes. In response to high demand, places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, eliminating the audition requirement.Book a Winter Intensive.
